New tools in the update include Quantum, which creates animated light trails in front or behind the layer selected, generating a range of retro-futuristic effects when used with text. Updated 19 August 2020: Red Giant has released Universe 3.3. There are also new tools for creating picture-in-picture compositions, warping footage with colour aberration, and generating duotone or tritone separation effects. The update adds five new tools, including two geared to creating content for social media: Typographic creates text animations, while Socialize previews footage in common social media aspect ratios.
Updated 20 February 2020: Red Giant has released Universe 3.2. In addition, the existing HUD Components tool, which – unsurprisingly – generates components for fantasy Heads Up Displays, gets 35 new presets. The update adds three new tools: Array Gun, a versatile-looking system for “generating animated motion graphics based on grids, shapes and lines”, plus tools for creating animated numbers and progress bars.

This is on Windows 10 Pro 64-bit (Anniversary Update installed). I'm a bit stumped at the moment so if anyone has more ideas, I'm all for it. I came accross a forum post suggesting that installing the Universe plugins while Hitfilm is NOT activated may work.but no such luck for me. I've made sure that Hitfilm is closed (even went as far to check that there were no Hitfilm processes in the Task Manager), I've tried reinstalling Hitfilm and Red Giant Link and no luck. So, I thought I'd get a few ideas in the meantime in the chance that someone else has had the same problem. I've got a support ticket in with Red Giant, but being the long weekend, I'm likely not going to get a response until early next week. I know this is very likely NOT an issue with Hitfilm.

After logging in to Red Giant Link and clicking the install button, just one effect is added (one of the Legacy "Toonit" effects) and nothing else. Hello guys, I've recently reinstalled Windows on my PC and have now noticed that the plugins for Red Giant Universe aren't installing properly.
